Elmhurst, IL — An 11-year-old Bryan Middle School student is selling hot chocolate for the third straight year to raise funds for the lung cancer research that helped her father survive.
Amy Bowles will give away her hot chocolate from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, in the City Centre Plaza by York and Schiller streets. Hot chocolate is free after a donation.
Bowles has raised a combined $950 for Lungevity, through the Naperville Lung Cancer Walk and Rally beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the Riverwalk Park Grand Pavillion, 500 W. Jackson Ave., Naperville.
Bowles has been working hard in support of her father, who was diagnosed with lung cancer 10 years ago. During his treatment, he lost a lung and seen his cancer spread to his pelvis and pleura lining.
